The Finance Secretary Derek MacKay has announced the creation of a new “Clyde Place Mission”. The announcement took place at the State of the City Economy Conference held in Glasgow earlier today. The new team will be based in the Scottish Government and will work with Scottish Enterprise and other partners in the public and private sector. Its focus will be on maximising the full economic potential of the River Clyde. Making better use of the river to deliver economic, social and environmental benefits to local communities and the country as a whole.

SURF has a longstanding interest in regeneration along the Clyde and looks forward to engaging with the mission. More information can be found on the Scottish Government website here.
