BEFS, Under One Roof and Novoville invite you to discover how tenement maintenance can keep your building warm, dry – and sustainable.

BEFS, Under One Roof and Novoville present a free evening event at SpACE – Edinburgh’s pop-up Space for Architecture + Carbon + Environment – exploring why tenement maintenance is important for sustainable homes. Come along to hear from our speakers about how to organise repairs, share information with your neighbours, explore how to form owners’ associations and find out what support is out there to help you get started – as well as looking at how maintaining your home plays an important role in tackling climate change.

BEFS will provide an overview looking at why tenement repair and maintenance is high on Scotland’s policy agenda, and where maintaining your home fits in to the conversation.

Under One Roof will provide information about your rights and responsibilities, along with your co-owners, to maintain and manage your building. This includes insights into forming owners’ associations and the benefits and limitations of doing so.

Novoville will demonstrate how their Virtual Tenement App can help residents living in shared properties carry out repairs and keep their buildings in good condition.

Refreshments will be provided and the event will include a surgery session for questions.

On the day of the event, current Scottish Government Covid regulations and guidance will apply.
